Boat circulation should be as per the official NSSC diagram. This may differ from the Regatta circulation pattern, all of which is available under
Rules & Safety.

We are not the only users of the lake, and everybody is supposed to do what's in the picture. Just because there's a diagram doesn't mean you don't need to look out, though.

ALL NSRC Rowers please note:

Like these 10km rows the Yarra people have been doing. Come on, tell us what happened!

It is time to start thinking about and planning for the Head of the Yarra race in Melbourne this year. Those who went last year are keen for this year’s trip, as it was a blast!  However, the feedback from last year was that it would be nice to be more competitive; training more than once as a crew is likely to help.

The provisional date for this year’s race is Saturday 25th November, at 1.00pm.  We’d be looking to leave on the Thursday, so that the team can get together on the Friday.  Last year, we hired bikes and rode the length of the course on the Friday, to check out those tricky twists and turns, like the Big Bend (particularly useful for coxwains!).  Some of the team then returned Sunday afternoon/evening, and others on Monday.

There will be some requirement to actually do some training.  It would be especially useful for the crews who intend to race the Yarra to do some long distance races at Karapiro over winter.

The last row is 06 August. Patricia, has offered to organise this for us. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SHOW UP & ROW.  What could be easier?

It starts from the HoroHoro Domain & ends at the Karapiro Domain. It is 10km and is run by the Waikato RA. Email Liz or Patricia to book your seat.

So, this is a call for definite interest in participating in Melbourne this year. Contact Lisa, Liz or Patricia, direct or via the webmaster.

School-age, club rowers & Masters.

All levels of experience welcome.
